How it’s made
The word is set in Sora, the site’s own typeface, as a variable font: one file with every weight from 100 to 800. Each letter’s weight is set every frame from a sine wave, with the controls choosing its speed, depth and how far apart the letters are in the wave.
Under the pointer the letters swell. It is plain text in the page, so it stays sharp at any size and needs no graphics card at all.
What you type stays in your browser; it’s never sent anywhere.
